ELECTRONIC GAME CARD RECOGNIZED AS LOTTERY PRODUCT OF THE YEAR
SGI Product Credited as “Pioneering”

ALPHARETTA, GA – August 2, 2005 – MDI Entertainment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS), announced today that the Public Gaming Research Institute, PGRI, has recognized the Electronic Game Card (EGC)as a 2005 Lottery Product of the Year.

The EGC is a pocket sized digital lottery ticket.  Each card, about the size of a credit card, is battery powered and loaded with dozens of random plays.  In the case of the EGC, an electronic play replaces the traditional scratch play of a paper ticket. LCD screens on the front of the card display the symbols in a particular play and show whether it has won a prize.  “The Electronic Game Card is proving to be extremely effective in offering retailers a technology and product that not only appeals to the core lottery player but also attracts new and younger adult players.  We are extremely proud to count this pioneering product as part of Scientific Games' portfolio of innovative lottery products,” said Steve Saferin, MDI president.  The game card is currently on sale for the third time in Iowa and will be launching in another state this fall.

The Product of the Year award was presented during PGRI's 2005 EXPO/ILAC Conference held in Las Vegas last month.  The PGRI award recognizes the importance of new products to the growth and continuing success of worldwide lotteries.

Scientific Games markets and promotes the electronic game card to the global lottery market under a joint venture arrangement with Electronic Game Card, Inc.
